Google analytics is a complementary service provided by Google for any website, the software uses a tracking code to install and monitor cookies on visitors machines and report their behaviours back to you.

Setting up Google Analytics:

First step is to create a Google Analytics account, if you are using Google AdWords or intend to use AdWords we recommend signing up via the Analytics tab within your AdWords account.

Whilst setting up your Analytics account you will be given a piece of java script, it is important to include this script within every page of your website. We would suggest including the script within an element such as the footer that appears automatically on every page.

Once the script is installed Google will start to collect visitor information and display data within the analytics reports. The data is not provided in real time however, your analytics account will be updated throughout each day.
